1. We Can Keep Our Crushes a Secret

We can spend all of class time daydreaming about our surprisingly hot teacher, and no one will have the slightest clue. However, when the wind blows the wrong way, boys have to worry about getting embarrassed when they shuffle up to the chalkboard.

2. We Can Wear Pink

Thankfully, stereotypes are shifting, but boys are still pressured to be manly. If anyone caught them playing with Barbies or enjoying an episode of My Little Pony, they'd be made fun of for life. Meanwhile, we're able to wear pink as much as we please.

3. Periods Are an Excuse for Literally Everything

Yes, periods are absolutely the worst thing about being a woman. However, if you want, you could pretend to have your period to get out of gym class or to justify why you've been so mean to your boyfriend. It's a last resort, but it can help you out of almost any jam.

4. We Have a Million Clothing Options

Boys don't have nearly as many wardrobe choices as we do. They pretty much wear jeans, shorts, tee shirts, and wife beaters. However, we can wear dresses, skirts, jeans, capris, shorts, tank tops, crop tops, and anything else we can dream up. Fashion favors us.

5. Boobs Are Just Awesome

Need I say more? Whether your breasts are big or small, they're a pretty great thing to have attached to your body.

6. We Can Play around with Makeup

Even though tons of male celebrities wear make-up, most men walking down the street refuse to do so. However, women are free to play around with different products and colors to see what looks best on them. When you're not rushing to get to class on time, then it can become a pretty fun thing to do.

7. We Get Free Stuff

Once in a while, a man will see how beautiful you are and offer to buy you a drink. Or maybe you'll be out on a date with your dear boyfriend, and he'll offer to pay for your entire meal. Either way, it's always nice to get some free stuff (as long as the guy doesn't expect to get anything in return).

8. The Miracle of Life

Even though you'll be stuck dealing with morning sickness and the unbelievable pain that comes with actually giving birth, being pregnant is something women everywhere dream about. After all, the miracle of life means that you'll get to have a baby shower, redecorate an entire room for the new child, and pick out a name for him or her. It balances out.

Being a girl certainly isn't the worst thing in the world. In fact, it's pretty amazing! So it's time to stop complaining about all the horrible things we're forced to deal with (except for periods, we can always complain about periods) and start being thankful for all the great things we can do.
