7 Side-Splitting Signs Youre Suffering from Senioritis ...

By Holly

If you’re ready to get out of school and into the ‘real’ world, you'll probably relate to these signs you're suffering from senioritis. You want to graduate, so you stop caring about your academic life. You know how close you are to leaving, but you just can’t wait until it actually happens. Here are the most obvious and side-splitting signs you’re suffering from senioritis:

1. Centered on Socializing

By the end of the school year, you don’t want to spend your days in class. You want to be out socializing with your friends, having the time of your life. Who wants to sit behind a desk when you could be sitting behind your computer, chatting with your best pals? One of the biggest signs you’re suffering from senioritis is that you value your friends over your grades.

2. Happy to Procrastinate

You could spend your weekend completing all of your assignments, but you’d rather sleep for twelve straight hours. You deserve it, don’t you? You’ve been a good student the whole year, and now is your time to relax. You’ll have time to finish your homework tomorrow. Probably.

3. Loving Your Laziness

You don’t want to get up to write on the chalkboard. You don’t want to answer questions your teacher asks. You don’t even want to raise your hand. It’s too much work. You’d rather sit there quietly and daydream about how awesome your summer is going to be.

4. Slipping Grades

You used to aim for an A, but now you’re happy with a C. You don’t really care what letters are on your report card, because it’s the last one you’ll ever receive. What does it matter, at this point? You’re pretty much done with school, so nothing matters anymore. You couldn’t care less.

5. Feeling Great about Being Late

You turned into a rebel, and are late for all of your classes. You never have a good reason for being tardy, but it keeps on happening. Some days you hit the snooze button one too many times. Other days, you’re just late on purpose. You don’t want to waste all of your valuable time inside a classroom.

6. Caring Less and Less

You just don’t seem to care about anything that happens while inside of your school. The people in it don’t matter (besides your friends). The lesson plans don't matter. Your crush doesn't even matter anymore. You’re never going to see him after graduation, anyway. Why should you still care about all of those things that will soon be in your past?

7. Eager to Start Living

Your love of school has been replaced with eagerness to get on with your life, and see what your future holds. You want to get your own apartment, and hang out with your friends every single day. You don’t think about what job you’re going to get, but you spend a lot of time debating what concerts you’ll waste your money on. Once you’re out of school, life is a party, right?

Pretty much everyone comes down with a case of senioritis, but that doesn't make it any less dangerous. Be careful, because you don't want to ruin your great days with only a few months left of school. Are you graduating soon, or did that happen years ago?
