When you're swamped with work, there are silly ways to de-stress alone or with your friends. You don't have to go for a mile run or scream into a pillow in order to feel better. There are some other methods you can try that are a little more ridiculous, but work just as well. Here are some of the silly ways to de-stress after a tough day:

1. Laughter Yoga

Yes, this is actually a real thing that people pay to try out. We all know that laughter can cause us to relax and is super healthy for our bodies and minds. That's why this is one of the silly ways to de-stress when you're in a bad mood. Check out the video posted above to watch the famous Youtubers Dan and Phil as they show you all of the different ways to practice laughter yoga.

2. Ear Massage

Forget back massages, because ear massages can be even more relaxing. The best part? You can do it yourself instead of hiring somebody else to touch your body. All you have to do is massage your earlobes with your thumb and index finger. Then move on to squeezing the outer edges of your ears.

3. Stare at Fractals

Fractals have repeating patterns that can be found in painting of nature or photographs of architecture. Google the word in order to find a slew of pictures to stare at. It may seem ridiculous to stare at a screen in order to de-stress, but it can really work.

4. Finger Paint

It's time to act like a kid again. Finger painting is a great way to de-stress, because it allows you to get creative while getting a little messy. It's a great way to release whatever emotion you're feeling. You might feel silly buying a finger paint kit at the craft store, but you can always pretend it's for your little sister.

5. Send Yourself Flowers

Having flowers or plants around your house can actually help you relax. It gives you something soothing to look at and makes you feel more comfortable than you would in an empty room. It would be nice to get flowers sent to you by a man, but if you're single, you can just send them to yourself.

6. Do a Headstand

Exercises like yoga are great ways to relax, but if you don't have the time for a full workout, skip everything but the headstand. It's a move that can get your blood flowing and the stress fleeing from your body. It's worth a shot. Just don't tumble over.

7. Curse

You shouldn't let out all your anger at a friend or family member. Find an empty room where no one else can hear you and let the curses fly. You don't even have to use them in a sentence. Just let out random curses and you'll feel a whole lot better. Plus, if you curse when you're alone, there's a lower chance that you'll accidentally end up yelling at someone else in your life.

Don't let your stress control your life. There are plenty of ways for you to reduce it, so do whatever you can, even if it makes you feel silly. What's the weirdest thing you do to get rid of all of the stress in your life?
