7 Struggles of Being a Bookworm ...
By Holly

Being an avid reader is a great thing, but it comes with its downsides. Even though you're stimulating your mind with books, you're also stressing yourself out with bookworm problems. It's not an easy life. Here are a few common struggles that bookworms commonly face:

1. Buying More than You Need

You have a dozen unread books on your shelf that you plan on reading, but you still go to Barnes and Noble to buy more. You just can't help yourself. Even though you're weighing down your shelves with stories and wasting the last of your paycheck on a book you know you won't read for another few months, you need to have it right now. There's no way you'll wait.

2. Meeting People Who Refuse to Read

There are a strange group of people in the world who believe that not reading books makes them cool. They actually brag about the fact that they haven't read anything since high school. It's a sad, sad thing that bookworms will never understand. When you meet one of these people, it's hard to resist throwing Shakespearean insults at them, but you have to hold yourself back.

3. Wishing You Were in That World

Even though the worlds in the books we love are typically way worse than our actual world is, it doesn't stop us from wishing we were apart of that reality instead. There's just something about the adventure and attitude of certain stories that makes us want to jump into them. It's hard to come to terms with the fact that we'll never be able to compete in the Hunger Games, kiss Four, or slap Christian Grey.

4. Staying up All Night

You have an hour before bedtime, so you decide to crack open a new book. Of course, it ends up being the best thing you've ever read and you're unable to stop reading it. Before you know it, the sun is rising and you realize that you didn't get a wink of sleep. Oh well, the story was worth it.

5. Falling in Love

Unrequited love is always hard to deal with, especially when the man you love doesn't actually exist. You'll pretend that he does, though, so when your friends point out that you don't have a chance with him, you'll throw a fit. They just don't understand.

6. The Movie is Too Different

When your favorite book is made into a movie, you'll be as thrilled as you are terrified. What if they ruin it? What if they choose an actress that doesn't fit the role? The worst thing ever is when you see your favorite actor up on the big screen, but don't think that they fit the part at all. It's just disappointing.

7. Choosing What to Read

When you have so many great books on your shelf, it's difficult to choose what to read first. It's a decision that could take you all day. You don't want to make the wrong choice, so you'll spend way too much time trying to decide what deserves your attention.

Reading is, by far, the best hobby to have! I mean, it stimulates your brain, relaxes you, and helps you forget about your problems. There's nothing better for your mind. What's the best book you've read so far this year?

Don't forget book slumps. I hate those

So true. Ha Ha Ha.

I love the picture

No such thing as too many

What about when you start a good book and than you forget to do anything.. Oops sorry family i forgot to clean or take anything out for dinner but this book i am reading is amazing!

I love reading on my way to and from places, on the train, walking, whatever!

It's so sad when you finish a book and you have to say goodbye to the characters that have been keeping you company and that have become part of your life for a while...

I would definitely NOT slap Christian Grey 😏

Don't forget those accidental tragedies, those books you pick up not knowing its a tragedy. You'll sit there crying at the end like 'No! Why?! What happened!'
