This is one of the silly quotes from Disney films that sets a good example for women everywhere. Sure, it's nice to have a hunky man around, but you don't need one to be complete. You can manage on your own.

2. The Lion King

This quote occurs right after Rafiki smacks Simba in the head to demonstrate a point. He wishes to show the lion that the past shapes his present, but he's in charge of what that means. Sure, some memories are painful, but they can help us become the person we were meant to become.

3. Pinocchio

This quote is trying to tell us that we should pay more attention to our conscience. Most of us ignore that little voice in their head that tells us what the right thing to do is, and it causes us to make poor decisions. Pinocchio's main issue is with lying, which is something that our consciences dislike. So if you want to have a clear conscience, all you have to do is tell the truth.

4. Bambi

You've probably heard this phrase one thousand times, but it's cuter when Thumper says it. While Pinocchio claims that the truth is the answer, Bambi suggests that it's best to keep quiet when the truth is too painful. You don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, do you? Be nice, and others will return the gesture.

5. The Little Mermaid

No matter what you achieve in life, you'll always assume someone else has it better. You'll get jealous of a neighbor with a bigger house and a greener lawn, but you don't know how great their life actually is. Even though they appear to be living the life, yours might actually be better. You can never know for sure, so try to appreciate what you already have.

6. Emperor's New Groove

While you should never be as greedy and selfish as Kuzco, he can teach us a few things. You shouldn't be afraid to splurge on yourself every once in a while. You can always buy yourself a nice gift without feeling badly about it. Just don't destroy a village when you do so.

7. Lady and the Tramp

While it's important to have close relationships with family and friends, you should realize that you're on your own in the world. There won't always be someone around to help you out when you're in trouble. You have to rely on yourself, because you're the only one that will always be there for you. So make sure that you learn to trust yourself as much as you trust your best friend.
